Sensory Dome is a series of geodesic dome structures, made w/collaborator Matt O’Hare, placed in sonically diverse soundscapes; a forest, an ocean shore, a city street –  to filter both the sonic and visual signatures of those environments. Inspired by the whispering gallery effect, wherein sound travels along an arch, this work was made in parallel to the directional speaker (better known as an LRAD) made while working with Scientist in Residence, Eric Rosenthal at NYU.
